Cheap Tablet in India now in UK

Tablets continue winning PCs

Study done by consulting firm IDC released this Wednesday ( 4/12 ) indicated that PCs TableXPc(personal computers) sales continue to plummet in Brazil , comparing the third quarters of 2012 and 2013 was 15%

In the same period there was an increase in the marketing of tablets coming to 134 % and the tablets were excluded from the category PC , considering only desktops and notebooks .

In the third quarter of this year were sold in Brazil about 3.4 million personal computers (excluding tablets), these 61% were laptops ( notebooks ) and 39 % , desktop computers (desktops).

Between July and September this year, were sold in Brazil 1.8 million tablets despite growth in comparison with 201 , there was a decrease of 2 % compared to the previous quarter.

The forecast for the fourth quarter is an even greater volume volume in the year , with 2.6 million units sold , making it a lock in with 7.9 million tablets, indicating growth of 142 % compared to 2012 .

The outlook for 2013 is to exceed the volume of 10 million tablets .

 

Sales of tablets grow in Brazil

Em Lages, professores recebem tablets

Segundo o Correio Lageano, no início do mês (04/04) todos os professores da rede estadual receberam tablets, no total 512 professores da rede de ensino ligados à Secretaria do Desenvolvimento Regional (SDR) de Lages, Santa Catarina.

Foram 30 escolas contempladas, porém as lousas digitais para interatividade entre alunos e professores ainda depende de treinamento para o uso futuro em sala de aula.

A gerente regional de educação, Maria de Fátima Ogliari afirmou ao jornal lageano que “Os tablets virão juntamente com as lousas digitais, onde a comunidade escolar, professores e alunos poderão fazer um trabalho interativo”, afirmou.

Já o secretário regional Jurandi Agustini lembra que o projeto faz parte do chamado “Pacto por Santa Catarina”, que destinou 7 milhões de reais para o setor público de Santa Catarina, que estão aplicados diretamente nas áreas de Segurança, Educação, Saúde e Mobilidade urbana.

O governo federal também afirma desde o início do ano que disponibilizaria quase 600 mil tablets para a rede de ensino médio, sendo dados do site Tecmundo, o modelo seria da Positivo (não vai haver licitação?), em dois modelos um de 7 e outro de 9.7 polegas, com o sistema Android 4.0 e processador de 1 GHz, câmeras frontal e traseira de 2 MP, com suportes Wi-Fi e 3G.

 

Novidades na maior feira mundial de mobiles

O Mobile World Congress é a principal feira de tecnologia móvel do mundo, iniciada no dia 25 tem seu encerramento amanhã em Barcelona, Espanha, a feira existe desde 1987.

Entre os destaques do MWC 2013 estão as empresas Telefónica, Nokia, Mozilla, Vodafone, Nielsen, IBM e Dropbox. Tecnologias como o NFC, celulares com HTML5, Clouds, as telefonia IP (Skype, por exemplo) e lançamentos na área como o Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 e o Optimus L Serie II, da LG, estão sendo apresentados no evento.

Há um canal de vídeo com transmissões diárias e um aplicativo para acompanhar o evento.

Entre as novidades fortes, foi anunciada uma parceria da Sony com o novo sistema operacional na praça que é o Firefox OS, um novo alento para o Software Livre, já que o Mozilla é quem dá suporte ao buscador livre Firefox.

Segundo a Telefónica que é parceira do Mozilla no lançamento de um smartphone com o Firefox OS (veja nosso post) , os primeiros dispositivos serão lançados no Brasil, Colômbia, Chile, Espanha e Venezuela na segunda metade de 2013, mas já existem parcerias com os diversos fabricantes entre eles: a Alcatel One Touch, a LG e a ZTE.

 

Donos do iPad3 podem ganhar novo de graça

Uma ação movida contra a Apple no Brasil poderá o novo tablet da empresa da maçã de graça para os donos do iPad3, logo após o lançamento já era visível a “redução de estoque” nas lojas da Apple, conforme notícia no próprio site MacMagazine.

O motivo é simples, por “obsolência planejada” do iPad, uma vez que o aparelho iPad 4 foi lançado em 23 de outubro do ano passado, ou seja, sete meses depois do iPad 3, e segundo Instituto Brasileiro de Política e Direito da Informática (IBDI) que move a ação, o aparelho foi lançado sabendo que ficaria ultrapassado em pouco tempo.

É fácil argumentar isto porque um aparelho leva de 6 meses a um ano para ser projetado ou atualizado (neste caso seria “upgrade”), portanto a empresa, ou já sabia disto ou iniciou o projeto do “novo” logo em seguida, ou até mesmo já estava em curso.

Além de receber o novo aparelho poderá haver uma multa, que segundo a ação, dependerá do número de compradores, o IBDI não tem este valor total que a Apple pode ser obrigada a pagar.

O iPad 3 começou a ser vendido no Brasil, num preço em torno de R$ 1.700 a R$ 2,300.
