Movies in 2018

27 Dec

Among those I’ve seen, of the best dramas “Infiltrado na Klan” (name in Brasil), whose name in Portugal is the original Blackkksman and Bohemian Rapsody are worth mentioning, besides they are indicated “Black Panther” and “If Beale Street Could Talk” that is in my list for see, and “A star is born.”
From what I actually saw in the movie of black cop Ron Stallworth (John David Washignton) who in 1978 managed to infiltrate the Ku Klux Khan, deserves the award for best film, perhaps the best consolation film for best actor.
Bohemian Rapsody boomed for Fred Mercury’s comments on homosexuality, however I find exaggerated the context of the film is to show his successful Queen band of the 1970s when the issue of Fred Mercury’s life was poorly commented and the band praised was more controversial, for example , the dismissal of Bryan Singer replaced by Dexter Fletcher.
Among the nominees for best comedy or musical, “Podres de ricos” is good comedy and “The Return of Mary Poppins” is bad musical, but I tell kids, they will like it, Green Book: The guide and “Vice” are second line , if winning will be a surprise. Lady Gaga has a curious cast as an actress, but it’s better to be a singer, as Glenn Close in “The Wife” and Melissa McCarthy “Can Your Ever Forgive Me?” yet the always-remembered Nicole Kidman “Destroyer” and Rosamund Pike in “A Private War.”
For best comedy or musical actress, Emily Blunt in “The Return of Mary Poppins” is a beard, but there may be surprises with Olivia Colman in “The Favorite” and Constance Wu in “Rich Rotters.”
Bradley Cooper directed “Born a Star”, Alfonso Cuaron of “Roma”, Spike lee of “Infiltrate in the Klan”, Peter Farrelly “Green Book: the Guide”, and the good director Adam McKay “Vice”.
Damien Chazelle (la la land), who describes the first steps of the man on the moon Neil Armstrong (played by Ryan Gosling), and develops unknown details of Amstrong as the loss of the daughter, showing from the existential even the human desire to overcome oneself in search of the unknown.
Ah yes was remembered for Justin Hurwitz’s best original track, a consolation.
There are many other indications, of course, but I stop here for my highlights, let’s wait for the Oscars, but the Golden Globe gives good tips.
